    • Democratic Party estimated yesterday that about 15 of its district councilors could lose their seats because of the challenge by former League of Social Democrats and their allies.
    • Lawmaker Albert Chan Wai-yip, who quitted the League of Social Democrats few days ago, said about 60 – 70 members of People Power were ready to challenge the Democrats in the district polls.
    • The People Power, to be launched around April, includes former league members, and groups like Voter’s Power, China Youths and the Frontier.
    • Democratic Party vice-chairman Sin Chung-kai said: (quoted by SCMP) ‘ Just by obtaining 10% of ballots in a constituency, they (the People Power) can make our candidate lose to the other opponent.’
