    • After Beijing stated out the criteria for the next chief executive, Executive Council convenor Leung Chun-ying called for a change of governance yesterday, saying: ‘Sticking to old ways can’t resolve our problems.’
    • He made the remarks at a gathering hosted by the Hong Kong Development Forum. He said the next government should try to anticipate conflicts before they blow up, and he highlighted poverty and housing problems are two pressing matters to which the next CE should target.
    • He also called for district authorities to be given more power over neighborhood issues so the central government could be spared for dealing with more pressing problems.
    • Leung also told a local television station that he had formed his own team.
